Chintaman Ganesh Temple Ujjain

Chintaman Ganesh Temple is one of the most respected temples in Ujjain. Built around the 11th or 12th century, it also has historical importance. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesh, the god of new beginnings. Many people visit this temple to seek his blessings and remove their worries.

The name “Chintamani” is another name for Lord Vishnu, the protector of the universe in Hindu mythology. Lord Ganesha is also called Vighneshwara, meaning the remover of obstacles. In Hindu traditions, he is always worshipped first to ensure a smooth path in life.

The temple’s main deity, Lord Ganesha, is known as “Chintaharan,” meaning the one who takes away worries and troubles.
